(verse1)
  A
I used to drift around in space
A
Shut my eyes, forget this place
            Bm7 Gadd9 D Add9/C#
But there's something about today
  A
I thought I'd write a better song
     A
Then people told me I was wrong

            Bm7 Gadd9 D Add9/C#
But there's something about today

(chorus)
                  A
Something about today
                  E
Something about today

Something about today

Something about today
                  D
Something about today

(verse 2)
  A
I clung to every small mistake
    A
And cast a spell I couldn't break
            Bm7 Gadd9 D Add9/C#
But there's something about today
  A
I walked the path that others lay
     A
Hope conveniently tucked away
            Bm7 Gadd9 D Add9/C#
But there's something about today

(repeat chorus)

(instrumental)
A E D (x 6)

(verse 3)
      A
Since I found you I clearly see
    A
The beauty inside you and me
            Bm7 Gadd9 D Add9/C#
And there's something about today
   A
My life is like an empty page
  A
I write the words and set the stage
               Bm7 Gadd9 D Add9/C#
'cause there's something about today

(repeat chrous)

(ending)
A
Come and take a walk outside
    E
All this is yours, don't be denied
  D
Adversity will make you hide
     D
Just disagree and win with pride
A
Come and take a walk outside
    E
All this is yours, don't be denied

Adversity will make you hide
